Move your account in these 4 simple steps:

Step 1. Open Your Account.

• Open your account online, or stop by any of convenient locations in Southeast Texas.

Step 2. Move or Enroll Your Direct Deposit.

Direct deposit is the fastest, easiest, and most secure way to receive your money and can be set up easily, and there are two easy ways to do this. 

• Fill out this Direct Deposit form and provide it to your employer
• Update your Direct Deposit through the Social Security Administration, Attorney General, Teacher Retirement System, and Veterans Affairs.

Step 3. Sign up for Online Banking 

• Sign up for Online Banking
• Once you're logged into Online Banking, use this online guide to opt in for Electronic Notices & Statements.
• Sign-up for iPay online bill payment to set up automatic payments. 

Step 4. Close your old account(s)

Before closing your account, you will need to make sure you do the following: 

• Verify that all checks, debit card charges, and scheduled payments have cleared your old account. 
• Confirm that any direct deposits have been moved to your new Education First checking account. 
• Destroy any unused checks, deposit slips, and debit cards associated with your old account.
