Boost! Round Up Savings Program

Here's how it works:

Each time you make a purchase using your totalREWARDS debit card, your transaction amount is rounded up to the next dollar, and the difference is put into your savings account. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3.

1. Enroll. Enroll your totalREWARDS debit card within online banking and select your savings account to get started. 💡TIP: Want to save even more? Select a 2X multiplier during enrollment and the round-up amount will be multiplied by two.

2. Shop. Use your card for everyday purchases. 💡TIP: Don't forget to use this card for online and recurring payments to collect the most change.

3. Save. We'll round up your purchase to the nearest dollar amount and transfer the change to your savings account!

Boost! FAQs

You can enroll in Boost! via online or mobile banking. From the main navigation menu select Boost!. Once Boost! is selected, simply follow the prompts to opt in.

Boost! is available to members with an open and active totalREWARDS debit card, personal checking account or a SEGUE checking account and a savings account.

Following your enrollment in the program, each qualifying purchase made with your totalREWARDS debit card will be rounded up to the nearest whole U.S. dollar. The round up amount will then be aggregated and transferred from your enrolled checking account to your savings account.

You will see any eligible transfers posted to your savings account the following day.

No. If there are no available funds in the checking account to cover the full round-up amount, no round-up will occur. The program does not do partial round-ups and it does not re-try round-ups at a later time.

Any Point-of-Sale debit card purchase transaction, including purchases using a Personal Identification Number (PIN) or signature purchase made using your totalREWARDS debit card.

The following are NOT a qualifying purchase: Any cash withdrawal from an ATM or over-the-counter cash withdrawal; bill payment transaction; any online banking transaction; ACH, check or draft transaction; and electronic cash application transaction.

No. Boost! is free for EFFCU members.

To enroll in Boost!, you must have an EFFCU Personal Checking Account or an EFFCU SEGUE Checking Account with an active totalREWARDS Debit Card. If on any given day your checking account does not have sufficient available funds to round-up, or if any transaction has overdrawn your checking account, EFFCU will not round-up purchases posted on that day. Transfers will resume the following day, or on the next day that sufficient funds are available. ATM transactions are not included in the round-up program.
